South East Cornwall boasts several hidden gems that you will find uncrowded even during the summer season, often you may find yourself the only ones on the beach. All within a short drive from Talehay this includes one of our favourite beaches which is Cornwall’s best kept secret the Lantic Bay as well as Lantivet and Lansallos

Coastal & Moor Walks

couples

A short drive from Talehay you have access to some of Cornwall’s most spectacular scenery, walking the superb Cornish coastline which boasts gentle stretches, dramatic headlands, sheltered estuaries, busy fishing harbours and intimate coves.
The ruggedness of Bodmin Moor is also a short drive from Talehay. An area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the top of Roughtor and Brown Willy being the 2 highest points in Cornwall. The Cheesewring is our favourite. The moor is also famous for the Jamaica Inn, featured in the smugglers tale by Dauphne Du Maurier, and film location of the much loved Poldark drama:

Poldark

The long awaited BBC Drama was shot in Cornwall and you can visit the beautiful film set locations including close by, the beautiful Charlestown Harbour and Bodmin Moor home to ‘Nampara’ Poldark’s cottage
